Ben Franklin's Big Idea Contest applications are officially open — and this year they are putting $50,000 behind the best ideas Central and Northern Pennsylvania has to offer. Applications close October 16.
The Women Founders Grant awards $5,000 in merit-based funding to help women founders and business owners launch or grow their businesses. Applicants are asked to answer two questions about their business idea and how the grant would help them achieve their goals. Applications due October 31.
The Entreprenista Evolve Grant each quarter provides $5,000 in funding to support women founders as they scale their businesses and invest in growth-focused initiatives. Eligible applicants must be women leading U.S.-based businesses that have been operating for at least one year and generated $100,000 or more in annual revenue. Applications for this quarter are due by November 30.
The Shophand $5k Small Business Boost Grant provides $5,000 in support to help U.S.-based small business owners address tech or operational challenges. Awarded twice per year, winners receive $2,500 in unrestricted cash and $2,500 in Shophand technical support and services. Applications for the current cycle are due on November 30.

Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator (CEA) grant program is now open for applications. The program provides grant funding to Pennsylvania-based creative businesses to support business growth and community impact. Growth Grant Funding Tier amount of up to $4,000. Impact Grant Funding Tier amount of up to $17,000. Applications close December 31.
Amber Grants for Women: Eligible businesses are women-owned, pre-revenue, idea stage startups and/or revenue generating nonprofits organizations. Monthly, 3 grants @ $10,000.
Evolve Grants: You are eligible to apply if you are a U.S.-based, woman-owned or led companies generating $100K+ annually and operating over a year. $5,000, Quarterly application cycle.
Awesome Foundation Grants Awards grants $1,000 each month to individuals and groups looking to fund various projects. The Awesome Foundation is made up of dozens of independently run chapters, with members contributing to a micro funding pool that goes towards grant projects. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Start.Pivot.Grow. Micro Grant provides $2,500 in non-dilutive funding to small businesses for essential expenses like rent, inventory, or marketing. Open to U.S.-based, for-profit companies with at least two years of operation, eligible applicants must generate $50,000+ annually and have no more than two employees, including the owner. Grants are awarded quarterly, with applications accepted on a rolling basis.
Verizon Small Business $10,000 Grant - Apply once in 2026 and you'll remain eligible for $10K grants awarded throughout the year. Register and complete any combination of two eligible courses or events anytime in 2026 to unlock the grant application. Apply once to remain eligible for $10,000 grants awarded throughout the year. Applications will be reviewed monthly from June through December 2026. Each month, 10 small businesses will be selected for grants. If you are not selected in a given month, your application will remain under consideration for the remainder of 2026.
